- This coming Wednesday Albuquerque City Councilors will vote on major proposals that will likely have a large impact on the city's appearance and its operation. The most notable topic on the agenda involves the housing department and the idea to remove some height restrictions on multi-family homes, which could possibly help with the local housing shortage. Other proposals include a new council-manager form of government taking some power away from the mayor, and the proposal of making various one-way streets now two-way. (KOB 4)
- Funds have recently been approved in Bernalillo County for sheriffs to receive new body cameras to use when working. The $4 million dollar deal will be used to contract with the advanced camera and software company Axon to provide the highest quality of cameras to protect both sheriffs as well as the public. The use of body cameras is as important for the public as it is for the officer using them as they keep everyone safe and handled professionally. BCSO recently had a contract with Utility Inc. but decided to cancel the agreement back in May. (KOAT New Mexico)
