  1. Two teenagers were arrested last week after allegedly firing shots at Albuquerque detectives on Friday afternoon. Police responded to a Shotspotter at 5404 Central Avenue SW a bit before 1 p.m. and saw two people matching the description running on Dolores Road SW. The two potential suspects fired at the officers and struck the windshield of the vehicle. After pursuing the suspects, one was found hiding in his backyard while the other was found in his home nearby; both were arrested without incident. (KOB 4)
  2. This past weekend, the first multicultural arts festival was held at the Singing Arrow Community Center in Albuquerque. The President of the Foothill Village Association wants to make this an annual event to bring the community together and celebrate the city's cultural diversity. The festival also included performances from seven local dance and music groups at the award-winning facility. (KRQE News 13)
  3. An opportunity to become a new artisan or maker is coming soon at the New Mexico Artisan Market showcase this November. The event will be held at the Hotel Albuquerque on Thanksgiving weekend from Nov. 24-26. The artisans will be picked from a panel of judges from the New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation. Applicants must apply by Jun. 30 with three photos of their work, a photo of themselves, and a biography; only New Mexico residents are eligible. (KRQE News 13)
