Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. Officers shot and injured one suspect during a Wednesday evening shooting in Southwest Albuquerque. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the suspect was transferred to a hospital with serious injuries, but no officers were injured during the event. The suspect has since been detained. (Albuquerque Journal)
  2. A warrant has been issued for an Albuquerque man once accused of resisting arrest and falling 15 feet into an irrigation ditch for the second time. Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies say Andrew Marler is wanted once again for stealing another man's belongings, throwing rocks at him, and chasing him with an axe. He was brought in and released but failed to show up for court and now has a bench warrant out for his arrest. (KRQE News 13)
  3. Two New Mexico students are set to perform on Broadway this summer as Enchantment Award recipients. Nori Little, a sophomore from Albuquerque Academy, is one of the two recipients getting the opportunity to perform in New York. Both Little and the other winner competed against 20 other talented thespians to earn their spot on center stage. (KOB 4)
