- Police have identified a man who was shot and killed by officers last month as 20-year-old John Withers. Withers was shot by police on Apr. 6 after being caught driving a vehicle that had been stolen during an armed carjacking that same day. According to investigators, the suspect abandoned the vehicle while being pursued by police and fled into the Bear Canyon Arroyo. After Withers fired shots toward the officers, he was killed in the return fire. (KRQE News 13)
- The FBI is searching for a man accused of robbing a local Wells Fargo bank on Monday. Authorities say the "High Top Robber" entered the bank on Central Avenue around 10:30 a.m., demanded funds from the teller, then fled toward Dartmouth Drive with an undisclosed amount of money. The federal agency is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. (KRQE News 13)

The program at Lovelace Health Systems recently received SRC accreditation, making it a critical resource for patients in need of the reparative procedure.
