Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:
- Albuquerque water management officials are raising the alarm about the possibility of the Rio Grande running dry through Albuquerque. The river is vital for local farmers and wildlife. According to recent measurements, the river's water flow is the weakest it has been in at least the last 50 years. If the area doesn't receive rain soon, the river will reportedly begin showing dry spots. (KRQE News 13)
- The City of Albuquerque is hosting a "Fix-It" clinic on Aug. 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The clinic will allow participants to learn how to assess, dismantle, and repair common household items. The clinic's main focus is to reduce the number of items that end up in the trash. (KRQE News 13)
