Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:

  1. Albuquerque's National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will be providing a series of educational programs for K-12 children this fall. Some programs are free and some require a small fee to cover operating costs. Most of the after-school programs are free, though. The programs are designed to offer something for everyone. Click for more information on the museum's programming. (KRQE News 13)
  2. Some northwest Albuquerque roads have been closed due to a collapsed sewer line. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning around 7:20 a.m. As of this writing, Bernalillo County/City of Albuquerque Water Authority crews are working to repair the issue. Travelers are advised to avoid Griegos Road in both directions. (KOB 4)
  3. The City of Albuquerque has provided a series of cooling centers for residents to escape the increasing temperatures. The centers are meant to provide residents with a safe location to cool off, apply sunscreen, and hydrate. Contact the Community Support Shuttle for a free ride to a cooling center. Click for the full list of cooling centers. (KOB 4)
