  1. Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a strip mall fire near San Mateo and Candelaria. The incident was likely started by an electrical malfunction. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the fire and it did not spread to nearby businesses. (KRQE News 13)
  2. The University of New Mexico placed third in the national solar-powered boat competition. This annual Solar Splash competition occurs in Ohio and pits engineering students against each other in a series of challenges. The challenges determine the fastest, sturdiest, and most nimble vehicles. (Albuquerque Journal)
  3. Railyards Market celebrated Learning Day on Sunday. The event offered market visitors the opportunity to learn a variety of things ranging from gardening to STEAM. Booths were set up offering students resources. The Railyards Market is open every Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (KRQE News 13)
