- Two Westside Albuquerque townhomes caught on fire Friday morning. Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the incident in the 5700 block of Pinnacle Peak Ct. The first townhouse was under construction and the fire spread to a neighboring townhouse. The department stopped the fire before it was able to damage ten townhouses. (KRQE News 13)
- A man has been accused of being violent with security while shoplifting from various stores. According to law enforcement officials, Darryl Clark has stolen from several Walmart and Target stores in the Albuquerque area. He is currently facing armed robbery charges after tasing a loss prevention officer in the shoulder. (KRQE News 13)
- An Albuquerque abortion clinic has been flooded with calls — from Texas residents. The University of New Mexico Center for Reproductive Health is reportedly one of only three clinics in New Mexico that performs abortion procedures. The clinic is apparently so overbooked it is scheduling four weeks out. The wait times are attributed to the fact that the clinic is the premier destination for Texans wishing to terminate a pregnancy. (Texas Tribune)
