Babylon Officials Want Fire Island Breach Closed
Mayor, town supervisor back county executive's call to close hurricane-caused breach.
Babylon Village Ralph Scordino and others joined Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone on Wednesday, calling for the closure of the Fire Island breach that the officials blame for recent storm flooding across the south shore.
Town of Babylon Supervior Rich Schaffer and Babylon Village Architectual Review Board member Mary Adams also spoke at the press conference at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village on Wednesday afternoon.
