On Monday, we wondered what train-goers thought about the on drinking on late night weekend trains. The measure was a response to rowdy behavior, but many of our readers were skeptical the ban would be enforced, or work to curb the problem.
45% of poll respondents thought the ban was needed but wouldn't address the problem of passengers boarding trains already intoxicated.

Babylon Village Patch Facebook commenter Kim Sciara pointed out: "The folks that ride these trains are already drunk before they get on the train. No one is getting drunk on the train in the hour it takes to get from Penn to Babylon."
16% of readers didn't want to see a ban on drinking at all.

A reader using only the name John said, "A majority of commuters use a drink to wind down their day. The people pushing for a full ban on alcohol on trains are people that don't work in the city and don't have a 2 hour commute home every night!"

On Wednesday we asked what business you'd like to see in the old Blockbuster video location on Montauk Highway in West Babylon.
Calls for Trader Joe's seem to keep coming, although the chain has no immediate plans for the area.
One reader wanted to see a restaurant of some type, while Susan Gilberg hoped for a DSW shoe store.

Reader Michele reported that Weight Watchers was moving into the space. Patch couldn't confirm the rumor as the listing agent confirmed the space was still available for lease.
