Balmy To Below-Average Temperatures: Long Island Work Week

LONG ISLAND, NY — As the region dries out, temperatures will drop briefly — but balmy weather returns by week's end.
"Cooler air will overspread the eastern U.S. Tuesday and Wednesday as the jet stream dips south and establishes a northwest flow," Jason Craig from JC Weather NYC and Long Island said on Facebook.
In fact, conditions during the first half of the week will swing near to slightly below the historical average in the Northeast, said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

However, by Friday, temperatures start rising again into the 50s in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
