Bay Shore Gears Up For St. Patrick's Day Parade
St. Patrick's festivities return in March.
BAY SHORE, NY — The Bay Shore-Brightwaters annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of Long Island's largest, and this year the festivities will kick off about a week before the actual holiday on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m.
This year's grand marshal is Phil Boyle, former state senator.
The parade route starts at South Saxon Avenue and turns westbound onto Montauk Highway, traveling for 1.6 miles. According to the parade committee, there will be a reviewing stand at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and the parade will disband up North Clinton Avenue to Mechanicsville Road and Union Boulevard.
