"These new charges stem from a brave victim who came forward following our initial announcement." — District Attorney Tierney.
BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore man was indicted for indicted for three counts of sex trafficking after sexually exploiting a female victim, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.
Danny St. Louis, 43, of Bay Shore, was indicted for three counts of sex trafficking and other related charges for commercial sexual exploitation of a female victim in addition to 28 other felony and misdemeanor charges on a separate indictment for alleged sex trafficking, the DA said.
According to the investigation, before his pending human trafficking indictment, police found St. Louis in possession of cocaine when they pulled him over for a seat belt violation on July 15, 2023, the DA said. At the time, police also found four cell phones in his vehicle and a human trafficking investigation was later opened, the DA said.

St. Louis and a co-defendant were later indicted for various sex trafficking and sexual assault charges in April of 2024, the DA said.
After those charges were announced another victim came forward and told Suffolk County police that St. Louis had sexually exploited her from January to February 2024, the DA said.

She said that St. Louis made her perform sexual acts with buyers in return for money like he did with his other alleged victims, the DA said. The woman said St. Louis would take the money she made and he would give her small amounts of crack cocaine and fentanyl to keep her addicted and working for him, the DA said.
During the first human trafficking investigation, one of the victims said that she communicated with St. Louis through the cellphones found in his vehicle during his July 2023 arrest, the DA said.
When police searched the phones, they found three videos of a victim who was under 13 years old at the time engaged in sexual performances, the DA said.
“These new charges stem from a brave victim who came forward following our initial announcement,” said Tierney. “In my first year in office, I launched a comprehensive Human Trafficking Unit to perpetually combat this disgraceful modern- day slave trade. I remain committed to seeking justice for all victims of sex trafficking and urge any other potential victims and witnesses to please come forward. Our office stands ready to support you.”
On September 12, St. Louis was arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei and charged with three counts of sex trafficking, Class B felonies; one count of fourth-degree promoting prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor; one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; three counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child, a Class E felony; and one seat belt violation, a traffic infraction.
Mazzei ordered that St. Louis be held without bail while the case is pending, the DA said.
He is due back in court on October 17 and faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the top
count, the DA said.
He is being represented by Ian Fitzgerald who was not immediately available for comment.
