Boat Report Names Bay Shore As One Of The Top 10 Places To Boat In New York

While Bay Shore ranked 4th for boating in New York, Manhattan, Sag Harbor, Montauk, Oyster Bay and more Long Island locales made the list.

BAY SHORE, NY — Bay Shore is ranked fourth on a list of the top 10 boating cities in New York in a new report by GetMyBoat.com, an online boat rental marketplace.

The company said it ranked each place by "examining the demand and number of completed rentals" in each area.

According to the report, the average hourly rate from renting a boat in Bay Shore is $352 while the average trip prices comes in at $1,407.

The report says that yachts are the most popular style of vessel choice for boaters in the Bay Shore area.

Manhattan took first place where the average hourly rate for boats is $657, the average trip is $1,927, and yachts are the most popular type of boat.

Sag Harbor came in second, where the average hourly rate for boats is $898, the average trip is $2,950, and sailing yachts are the most popular.

Third place on the list went to Saratoga Springs where the average hourly rate for boats is $145, the average trip is $891, and pontoons are boaters' vessels of choice.

After Bay Shore in fourth place is Oyster Bay in fifth, where the average hourly rate for boats is $223, the average trip is $863, and yachts are the most popular.

In sixth place is Port Washington, where the average hourly rate for boats is $427, the average trip is $1,977, and yachts are the most popular choice.

Mamaroneck ranked seventh place, where the average hourly rate for boats is $121, the average trip is $653, and sailboats are the most popular.

Schenectady is eighth on the report, where the average hourly rate for boats is $45, the average trip is $269, and fishing boats are the boat of choice.
