Main Street Businesses To Go 'Pink By The Bay' For Breast Cancer
From Babylon to East Islip, stores will decorate with pink and offer information on breast cancer for the month of October.
ISLIP, NY—This October Main Street storefronts from Babylon Village to East Islip will join a "Pink by the Bay" campaign. The month-long effort to raise awareness about breast cancer is organized by Northwell Health and will continue for all of October.
Stores in Babylon, West Islip, Islip,Bay Shore, Brightwaters and East Islip will decorate their windows pink and will carry educational information. October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on October 1, a news conference about the campaign will take place at Babylon Town Hall at 11 a.m.
Three window displays will be chosen to win a pair of tickets to a Jones Beach concert next summer.
