Road Closure For Bay Shore Brightwaters St. Patrick's Day Parade

This year's Grand Marshal is Reverend Seán Gann of St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore.

BAY SHORE, NY — The 22nd annual Bay Shore Brightwaters St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place Saturday.

The parade steps off at 2 p.m., going from Saxon Avenue to St. Patrick's Church. As always, it features floats, bands and many local marchers.

Suffolk County Police advise motorists that Main Street in Bay Shore will be closed between Saxon Avenue and Fifth Avenue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can use Union Boulevard as an alternate route.

This year's Grand Marshal is Reverend Seán Gann of St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore. The Long Island native has served as chaplain to the Suffolk County Police Pipe Band, the Knights of Columbus, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. He has also served for many years as chaplain to the Suffolk County Police Emerald Society, which selected Fr. Sean as their 2013 Irishman of the Year, and he led their members in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade that year.
