Your Vote Could Send Biggie To The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Brooklyn's own Notorious B.I.G. is one of 16 artists nominated to join the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2020.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Brooklyn's own Notorious B.I.G. could join the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2020 as one of 16 artists nominated for the honor, the institution announced this week.
Bed-Stuy's beloved rap artist is one of a slew of world famous artists — including Whitney Houston, Pat Benatar and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan — who became Class of 2020 Nominees this week.
And anyone with an online connection can vote on which of the 16 nominees is inducted into Cleveland's famous hall on May 2, 2020. The "fans' ballot" will be tallied along with others to choose the 2020 Inductees.

This is the first year Biggie became eligible for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as it only selects artists who released their first commercial recording at least 25 years ago. "Ready To Die" came out in 1994.

Other artists include the Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Judas Priest, MC5, Motörhead, Nine Inch Nails, Todd Rundgren, Soundgarden, T. Rex and Thin Lizzy.
The 2020 inductees will be announced in January 2020, according to the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
