200+ Students Celebrated at Awards Night

More than 200 scholarships and awards were handed out in separate ceremonies held at all three high schools in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.

The Senior Awards Program is an annual event that pools scholarships and recognitions from both in and out of the district to reward outstanding seniors who have made contributions in numerous fields, including community service. The awards ranged from perfect attendance and academic excellence to memorial awards in journalism and music.

The evening also provides an opportunity for members of each school’s respective alumni associations and PTA groups to connect with current students and recognize their work.
