Bellmore Hosting Nassau County Firefighters Parade and Drills
A carnival will also be held this weekend.

The Bellmore Fire Department will be the host of the 2013 Nassau County Firefighters Parade and Drills this weekend.
The weekend's activities will kick off at the Four Towns Firemen's Training Center in Merrick on Friday at 6 p.m. with the Nassau County & Long Island Old Fashioned Racing Tournament Championship, followed by the Motorized Championship for Nassau County on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
On Saturday evening beginning at 6 p.m. in Bellmore, firefighters from an estimated 50 fire departments from throughout Nassau County will compete in the Championship Parade.
The parade will start on at Beltagh Avenue and Henry Street , continue down Bellmore Avenue to Broadway and then end in front of fire department headquarters on Petit Avenue.
There will be a carnival and block party being held in the LIRR lot.
The carnival will be ongoing Friday night until 11 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
