Driver Stopped In Bellmore Roadway Had 'Ghost Gun': Nassau Police

Officers responded to a call about a driver stopped in the middle of the road​ and appeared to be sick, police said.

BELLMORE, NY — Police accused a Uniondale man on weapons charges 9:15 p.m. Friday in Bellmore.

Officers responded to 1500 Newbridge Road for a driver who was stopped in the middle of the road and appeared to be sick, police said.

Responding officers reported they found Prathamjyot Nahal was in possession of a black 9mm ghost gun.

Nahal, 24, was placed into custody without incident and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Nahal is charged with criminal possession of a firearm and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
