Update: Motorcyclist Killed in Southern State Crash
A motorcyclist died in an early morning crash Friday in N. Bellmore near Exit 25.

A motorcyclist has died after an early morning crash on the Southern State Parkway in N. Bellmore, according to New York State Police.
The crash happened at 1:15 a.m. on the westbound side of the parkway near Exit 25 for Newbridge Road, authorities said.
The victim, Omar Roman, 36, of Elmont, was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson “at a high rate of speed” when he lost control and struck a center median guard rail, police said.

Roman was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County EMT, cops said.
No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, officials said.
