Firefighters Unite To Battle Blaze That Ravaged LI Home: Police

Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed a Long Island home over the weekend, Suffolk County police told Patch.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed a Long Island home on Saturday night, Suffolk County police told Patch.

Police said a call reporting a fire that broke out in a home on Yarnell Street in Brentwood came in around 10:27 p.m.

According to fire photographer Ken Bradbury, who was on the scene, the flames ravaged the home while the Brentwood Fire Department was celebrating its installation dinner, so Central Islip, Islip, East Islip, East Meadow, and Farmingville fire departments responded to the scene.

Police said no injuries were reported, and the Suffolk County arson squad is investigating.
