Islip Father Raped And Impregnated Daughter, Sentenced To 22 Years: DA
"It is unconscionable that a father would subject his own daughter to years of such disgusting acts of sexual violence." — DA Ray Tierney.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A Central Islip father, 55, was sentenced to 22 years in prison Wednesday after forcibly raping and impregnating his daughter, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
The District Attorney’s Office is not naming the defendant in order to protect the identity of his daughter.
According to the investigation and the defendant’s admissions during his guilty plea allocution, in April 2017, he forcibly raped his then 17-year-old daughter, resulting in her pregnancy, the DA said. Upon realizing that his daughter had become pregnant, the defendant attempted to have the teen end the pregnancy, but she refused and gave birth the following year, the DA said.

The defendant was arrested again by law enforcement on December 17, 2022; after further investigation, paternity analysis of the child confirmed that the defendant had fathered his own grandchild, the DA said.
In January, the man pleaded guilty to all charges in the indictment, including three counts of first-degree rape, Class B violent felonies; one count of second-degree burglary, a Class C violent felony; four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, Class D violent felonies; two counts of third-degree incest, Class E felonies; two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, Class E felonies; two counts of second-degree criminal contempt, Class A misdemeanors; two counts of forcible touching, Class A misdemeanors; four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Class A misdemeanors; and one count of first-degree harassment, a Class B misdemeanor, the DA said.
