BROOKLYN, NY — A 58-year-old man was killed, and three others were left injured when two boats crashed into each other in Brooklyn this past weekend, authorities said. The incident happened just before 12 p.m. in Gerristen Creek, on Saturday, police said. A boat carrying the 58-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman crashed into another boat that had a 68-year-old man on board, police said. The 58-year-old victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn in critical condition but was later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The other passengers were treated for injures at the scene. Authorities have not released details on the cause of the crash as of Monday evening.
