1 Man Killed, Another injured After Being Struck By Van In Brooklyn

A driver was traveling northbound on 18th Avenue when the crash happened.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man was killed, and another person was injured after being struck by a van in Brooklyn Wednesday night.

An 84-year-old man, identified as Noach Klein, was struck by a Ford Transit 250 at 4819 18th Ave. around 6:30 p.m., police said.

A 54-year-old man was also struck in the crash. Klein was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, a 38-year-old driver was traveling northbound on 18th Avenue, when he struck both men.

The 38-year-old driver remained on scene. No arrests have been made.
