2 Firefighters Injured In Brooklyn Blaze, FDNY Says
Two firefighters were injured and 14 residents were displaced following a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn Thursday morning, fire officials said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A fast-moving fire burned through an apartment building in Brooklyn in the early morning hours on Thursday, leaving two firefighters with minor injuries, authorities said.
The fire started just before 3:30 a.m. in a two-story building on 48th Street in Sunset Park, FDNY officials said.

An FNDY representative said the flames started in the basement and then spread to the first floor.
The blaze was deemed under control just before 5 a.m., fire officials said.

There were no injuries; however, 14 residents in the building were temporarily displaced because of the damage, authorities said.
An NYPD spokesperson told Patch on Thursday that the American Red Cross helped the displaced residents find shelter.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation Thursday morning, authorities said.
