2 Men Found Dead In Brooklyn This Week: NYPD
Both men were found unresponsive by police and pronounced dead at the scene.
BROOKLYN, NY — Two men were found dead in Brooklyn in separate incidents within a two-day period, police said.
Beginning on Wednesday, at around 8:30 a.m., police found a 50-year-old man unresponsive lying in the grass in front of 44 Street and 6th Avenue in Sunset Park.
The victim —identified as Sergio Prieto — was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The following day, police found a 61-year-old man unresponsive lying on a blanket on the sidewalk near 112 Watkins St. in Brownsville at around 3:50 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's identity has not been released pending family notification, police said.
The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death in both cases, and an investigation remains ongoing.
