2 Men Killed In Separate Brooklyn Shootings Identified: Police

The two shootings happened within five minutes of each other Sunday, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Two men shot and killed in separate shootings in Brooklyn on Sunday within minutes of each other have been identified, police announced Tuesday.

The first incident happened on Flushing Avenue and Steuben Street around 10:45 p.m., police said.
A man in his 30s was found shot in the chest and was transported to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The man has since been identified as Arturo Rodriguez-Marcano, 30, police said.

The second shooting happened five minutes later at 29 Ryerson St. where Enny Urbina-Mendez. 21, was shot multiple times and a 59-year-old man was critically injured after he was shot in the head, police said.

The 21-year-old victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A suspect in the second shooting was seen wearing a black adidas t-shirt, black pants and black adidas sneakers, police said.
