Baby Found Dead In NYC Apartment In Alleged Homicide, Police Say
The 1-year-old baby boy was found dead inside a Brooklyn affordable housing complex on Friday afternoon, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are investigating the death of a baby boy found inside a Brooklyn apartment as a possible homicide, authorities said.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call just before 5 p.m. Friday, and found 1-year-old Anthony Casey unconscious and unresponsive inside a home on Newport Street in Brownsville.
He was rushed to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has since ruled Casey’s death a homicide, according to the Daily News. The agency determined he died from blunt force injuries to the torso, though no additional details have been released.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday, and police have not said whether they are searching for any suspects or persons of interest. However, the investigation remains ongoing, an NYPD spokesperson added.
