Brooklyn Driver Arrested, Killed 63-Year-Old Man Crossing Street: NYPD
The incident happened on June 1, at around 10:06 p.m., near Mother Gaston Boulevard and New Lots Avenue, police said

BROOKLYN, NY — A Brooklyn driver has been arrested and charged after he fatally struck a 63-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the street almost two weeks ago, police said.
Anthony John, of East New York, who was driving a Honda CRV, killed William Rosario, 63, as he was crossing New Lots Avenue in Brownsville on June 1 at around 10:06 p.m., police said.
John was driving without a license and faces failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care charges, police said.

EMS transported the 63-year-old pedestrian to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
