BROOKLYN, NY — The Brooklyn Football Club is temporarily moving to Columbia University's Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium for the remainder of the season, the team announced on Friday.
The move to Manhattan is the latest chapter in a saga that began when team officials found the turf of Maimonides Park faulty and unsafe, team officials said.
“Player safety is our top priority, and the decision to temporarily relocate our home matches to Columbia University will ensure the well-being of everyone involved,” said Daniel Hall, the founding partner and CEO of Club Underdog, the parent company of Brooklyn Football Club.

The season was meant to start on Aug. 31 but was postponed due to the faulty turf. Now, it will begin on Sept. 25 with a home game against Dallas.
As a thank you to fans for their patience and loyalty, season ticket holders will receive free admission to the seven upcoming games at Columbia's soccer stadium.
