BROOKLYN, NY — A man stopped at the scene of a traffic accident on the Belt Parkway was killed when another driver smashed into a responding cop car early Monday, police said.

Tse and the operator of the Honda remained at the scene of the accident and NYPD officers responded to it at around 1:13 a.m., police said.

While the responding officers' marked NYPD vehicle was stopped in the left lane with its emergency lights activated, a 2019 Nissan Rogue "traveling at an apparent high rate of speed" collided with the rear of the police vehicle and struck Tse, who was standing next to his car, police said.
The hit sent Tse over the center guardrail and onto the roadway of the eastbound lane of the Belt Parkway, police said, and responding EMS personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
