Brooklyn Man Drowns In Long Island Pool: Police
Kenneth Murphy, 29, was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive, police said.
LONG ISLAND, NY — A 29-year-old Brooklyn man drowned in a backyard pool in Long Island early Friday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
Kenneth Murphy died while swimming in a backyard pool on Jamaica Avenue in Wyandanch, Suffolk police said.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call reporting that Murphy was unresponsive in the pool and performed CPR on him but were unable to revive him.
