Driver Abandons Car On Brooklyn Bridge After Hit-Run: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are still on the lookout for a man who allegedly rear-ended a driver on the Brooklyn Bridge and fled the scene last week.

The incident occurred on Feb. 2 around 8:45 a.m., police said. Authorities reported that a 36-year-old man was driving westbound when the suspect, driving a blue BMW, crashed into him.

Following the crash, the suspect then fled the scene on foot, running along the bike path, authorities said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for treatment, police said.

The driver is described as a male, approximately five foot eight inches tall and approximately 20 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
