Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn:
- NYPD is investigating the fatal shooting of a construction worker which took place in broad daylight yesterday, Sep. 14, at a Brooklyn work site, located at 756 Stanely Avenue. According to the NYPD, the victim was shot four times in the chest and once in the knee. The suspect fled southbound on Stanley Avenue in a silver Honda Accord. NYPD describes the suspect as a Black man wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. (AMNY)
- Yesterday, Sep. 14, 50-year-old Montoun Hart of Brooklyn was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a gun trafficking ring that brought illegal firearms from South Carolina and Virginia to be sold in Brooklyn. According to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, Hart sold 44 guns to undercover officers. (Brooklyn Paper)
- During New York Fashion Week, designer Telfar Clemens brought his fashion to the streets of Brooklyn instead of having a traditional runway show. Telfar filled the retail chain store, Rainbow, on Fulton Street in downtown Brooklyn, with thousands of his signature shopping bags for customers to shop in person for the first time. (Andscape)
