Dad Killed, Daughters Stabbed In Brooklyn Home Invasion: NYPD

A dad and his two daughters were stabbed Thursday by robbers looking for a safe the family didn't have, according to police and reports.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A Brooklyn dad is dead and his two daughters injured, one critically, after home-invaders broke into their Bensonhurst home early Thursday morning, police said.

Two men broke into the Bensonhurst home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street just before 6 a.m. demanding property from the family, police said.

The New York Post reports that the thieves were looking for a safe, but cops said there was no safe in the house.

The robbers repeatedly stabbed the father, named by the New York Post as Carlo Secondino, 61, and one of his daughters, 19, officials said.

The dad was pronounced dead at the scene, while the daughter was brought to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Another daughter, 23, suffered knife wounds to her hands and was brought to NYU Langone-Brooklyn in stable condition, officials stated.

Police said that the two robbers fled to parts unknown and that no arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon.
