Firefighter Injured In 2-Alarm Blaze In Brooklyn: FDNY
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials said.

BROOKLYN, NYC — An FDNY firefighter is in critical condition after experiencing a medical episode while fighting a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn on Sunday, officials reported.
The unidentified firefighter experienced a medical episode and went into cardiac arrest after a fire broke out in a four-story building on Lafayette Ave. near Bushwick Ave. around 11:30 a.m., officials said.
Over 100 firefighters and EMTs responded to the scene, where the fire had spread across multiple floors and into the building's cockloft. The flames were brought under control approximately two hours after the FDNY arrived on the scene.

The injured firefighter was treated at the scene by medics before being rushed to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Officials have not released his name or the fire company he was with.
The Red Cross was also on the scene, providing emergency housing, financial aid and blankets to 14 adults, six children and one pet, according to a post from the organization.
