3. Brooklyn Tech HS Foundry to be Converted Into Multimedia & Research Hub (bkreader.com) — A $5 million city investment will transform Brooklyn Technical High School’s historic Foundry into a modern multimedia and research hub, adding labs, collaboration space, and upgraded technology for students. Local council members and alumni say the project will expand STEM opportunities for Brooklyn teens and strengthen pipeline programs connecting Brooklyn middle schools to Tech’s specialized programs.
   

4. Brooklyn Playground Stabbing: 12-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder in Brownsville (hypefresh.com) — A 12-year-old boy was critically injured after being stabbed in the chest during a fight at Imagination Playground in Brownsville’s Betsy Head Park, and another 12-year-old has been charged with attempted murder. The Brooklyn incident, near several local schools, comes amid rising youth assault rates in the 73rd Precinct and citywide, intensifying concerns for neighborhood families.
   

5. Beloved Prospect Park swans rescued after suspected off-leash dog attack • Brooklyn Paper (brooklynpaper.com) — Two young swans from Prospect Park’s well-known swan family are recovering at a wildlife clinic after suspected injuries from an off-leash dog, raising fresh concerns about rule-breaking around the park’s lake.
