BROOKLYN, NY — Last week in Brooklyn, an arrest was made in the Carey Gabay shooting case, a new approach to quality-of-life crimes was adopted by the New York City Council and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) heard from Canarsie residents on plans for the L Train.

5) Arrest Made in Carey Gabay Shooting Case — Carey Gabay, 43, a Clinton Hill resident and former legal aide to Gov. Cuomo, was struck by a bullet during a suspected gang shoot-out.
