BROOKLYN, NY — The New York Liberty are heading to the WNBA finals this Thursday, following a 76-62 win over the Las Vegas Aces in the last semifinal game on Sunday.

This is the second year in a row that the Liberty will be in the finals and the sixth time in franchise history that the Liberty will be in the finals.

This year, New York will face off against either the Connecticut Sun or the Minnesota Lynx, depending on which team wins the best-of-five series.

"For us, I think we’ve talked about it every year; it’s New York versus New York. It’s not us versus anybody else. We want to go out there and be the best that we can be no matter what team it is," Liberty Guard Sabrina Ionescu said during the post-game press conference Sunday night.

The first two finals games, on Oct. 10 and Oct. 13, will be hosted by the Liberty at Barclays Center. Tickets are on sale now.
