BROOKLYN, NY — An 86-year-old man was fatally struck by a Department of Transportation vehicle in Brooklyn Wednesday, police said.The victim was struck by the truck at 92nd Street and Dahlgren Place in Bay Ridge around 3:30 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The man was decapitated after being hit by the vehicle, <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/06/12/us-news/pedestrian-86-horrifically-decapitated-after-being-hit-by-city-truck-in-brooklyn/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to multiple media reports</a>. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said. No arrests have been made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
