Man Arrested In Brooklyn Fatal Gang Shooting Of 13-Year-Old Boy: NYPD

Sheik​ Koureichi​ confronted Troy Gill in the vicinity of Brooklyn Avenue and St. Marks Avenue​ and shot him multiple times on Feb. 29.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the apparent fatal gang shooting of a 13-year-old boy after five months, police said.

Sheik Koureichi has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the Feb. 29 shooting death of Troy Gill, police said.

Koureichi is accused of confronting Gill in the vicinity of Brooklyn Avenue and St. Marks Avenue, where he proceeded to shoot the 13-year-old boy multiple times, police said.

Gill was transported to NYC Health+Hospitals/Kings County, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The 13-year-old boy, allegedly a member of the Drench gang and had a tattoo reading “Drench” on his back, according to a New York Daily News report.
