A stranger threw a metal item at a 61-year-old man on a Brooklyn L train platform in December, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A stranger threw a metal object at another man on a Brooklyn L train platform in December, police said Thursday.
A 61-year-old was waiting on a northbound L train platform at the Wilson Avenue station about 12:35 a.m. on Dec. 14 when he was hit with the metal, police said.
A stranger had thrown the unnamed metal object unprovoked, striking the 61-year-old in the leg and causing minor injuries, according to the NYPD.

The 61-year-old was taken to an area hospital while the suspected attacker ran, police said.
Police continued to search for the man Friday.
