BROOKLYN, NY — An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy in Brooklyn last year, police announced. Leopoldo Nash Montoya has been charged with second degree murder, second degree attempted murder, attempted gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon, among others, police said. On July 17, 2023, in the vicinity of 6210 20 Avenue, police found Foridun Maulonou with a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported to Maimonides Medical center in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries the following day on July 18 and was pronounced dead, police said.
