BROOKLYN, NY — A trio of robbers brandishing firearms held up monks at a Buddhist temple in Flatbush on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The robbery happened at Watt Samakki-Dhammikaram at 26 Rugby Road in Flatbush just before 2:30 p.m., officials said.

The three crooks forced their way inside the temple through the backdoor and stole an unknown amount of money and possessions, police said.

There were four people inside the Buddhist temple at the time of the robbery, officials said.

No one was injured, police said.

The three men ran off and, as of Monday morning, no additional suspect information was available, said NYPD spokesperson.
