BROOKLYN, NY — The annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest and Fourth of July fireworks returns to Coney Island Thursday.
Here's what you need to know about both events:

The woman's contest will begin at 11am, while the men's contest will start at 12:30 p.m.
The following streets will be closed for the contest:

- Stillwell Avenue between Surf Avenue and Bowery Street
- Bowery Street between Stillwell Avenue and West 15th Street
- Surf Avenue between West 15th Street and West 12th Street
- West 15th Street between Surf Avenue and Bowery Street
The Coney Island July 4 Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 9:45p.m. at Steeplechase Park. The following streets will also be closed for the evening event.
- Portions of the south boardwalk and most of Surf Avenue; West 10th Street and West 21st Street.
- Stillwell Avenue between Mermaid Avenue and Boardwalk
