NY Liberty Dominate The Wings in Record-Breaking Win Thursday Night

BROOKLYN, NY — The New York Liberty defeated the Dallas Wings 99-67 on Thursday night at Barclays Center, completing a season sweep of the Wings.
This game was record-making: At 31-6, the Liberty are off to the team’s best start through 37 games in franchise history. And, the Liberty extended their WNBA record with their 40th scoring run of 10 or more points this season.
The Liberty surpassed the 2023 Aces for the second-most three-pointers made in a single season, now only behind their own 2023 record. Their bench contributed 32 points, maintaining an unbeaten streak (15-0) in games where the reserves outscore the opponents.

The team set a new high for fast-break points this season with 30, the most since 2022. They also extended their streak of games with at least 15 assists to 108, the longest in WNBA history.

Player Highlights
Sabrina Ionescu led with 20 points, six assists, and five rebounds, including four three-pointers. She extended her streak of regular-season games with at least one three-pointer to 60, the second-longest in WNBA history.
Betnijah Laney-Hamilton scored 17 points and reached 200 career steals. She also set a franchise record for the most games with a game-high plus-minus, with seven.
Courtney Vandersloot added 11 points on 71% shooting and moved to 15th on the WNBA’s all-time steals list.
Jonquel Jones had eight points and seven rebounds, becoming the first player to hit 300 career three-pointers while shooting at least 50% from the field.
Breanna Stewart posted 11 points and four assists, surpassing Shameka Christon for the third-most games with at least five free throws made in Liberty history.
