NYC Building Super Killed During Fight With Man Trying To Steal Packages

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 41-year-old building superintendent was killed during a dispute with a man accused of stealing packages out of a Brooklyn building.

The incident happened at a building on Ocean Avenue in Ditmas Park around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

The building superintendent was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

The man suffered multiple blows to the head, police said. The incident started as an argument that turned violent, according to the New York Post and ABC7 New York.

A 30-year-old man was taken into custody after the incident. No charges have been filed as of Thursday morning.
