Raising Cane's Opens Newest Location In Downtown Brooklyn

The well-known chain launched its fourth New York City branch last week, bringing fried chicken to Downtown Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN, NY — The popular southern fast-food chain Raising Cane’s has made a move to Downtown Brooklyn.

After opening its flagship location in Times Square in early June, the franchise has been rapidly expanding across the Big Apple, opening its second Brooklyn location and fourth location in the city on Jan. 30.

The eatery, which is known for its popular chicken finger meals, Raising Cane's sauce, and "ONE LOVE" brand, celebrated the opening of its newest store at 447 Fulton Street, on the corner of Fulton and Jay, with a lively disco-themed party featuring free entertainment and gifts.

“Spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way,” said Kevin Comeaux, Area Leader of Restaurants. “We’re so grateful for the warm reception we’ve received in New York and couldn’t be more excited to spread our 'ONE LOVE' to Downtown Brooklyn.”

To kick off the event, 20 customers received a year's worth of free Raising Cane's, compliments of the brand and comic and food critic Lil Mo Mozzarella, who announced the winners.

Soon after, dignitaries from the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Community Board 2 helped cut the ceremonial ribbon on the new facility.

Raising Cane's also donated to the Center for Brooklyn History at the Brooklyn Public Library and Elite Learners, a local anti-violence organization, during the ceremony to emphasize the company's commitment to its new community.

At the end of the ceremony, all guests and customers were served fresh locally roasted coffee and hot chocolate from Brooklyn Roasting Company while waiting in line for their order, a spokesperson from Raising Cane’s said.

Founded in Louisiana, Raising Cane's has opened hundreds of locations across the country and a few dozen restaurants in the Middle East.

The chain's specialties include chicken fingers (with signature Cane's sauce), chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and sweet tea.

Raising Cane's new store in Downtown Brooklyn is one of four new NYC sites that will open within the next six months, a company spokesperson said. New Yorkers will soon be able to get their chicken finger fix at new locations in Harlem, Penn Station and Flushing.

The new location, which is just steps away from the Jay Street MetroTech MTA subway station that serves A, C, F, and R lines, will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to midnight.
