Report Of Shots Fired At Kings Plaza Shopping Center: NYPD

BREAKING: Police are investigating a report of shots fired at the shopping center Saturday evening.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are investigating reports of shots fired at Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Brooklyn, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch.

"No one is injured," the spokeswoman said.

Witnesses described a panicked scene at the shopping mall with a heavy police presence and people running and screaming.

J. Peter Donald, NYPD assistant commissioner for communication and public information for the NYPD, wrote on Twitter that a shell casing was found inside the mall and a man was arrested with a gun nearby. Officers are currently searching the mall for any potential victims or suspects.
